Jurnal Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan Indonesia (JPHPI), formerly known as Buletin Teknologi Hasil Perikanan, was established in 1996 at the Department of Aquatic Product Technology. Since 2010, the publication of JPHPI has been jointly managed by the Department of Aquatic Product Technology IPB University in collaboration with Masyarakat Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan Indonesia (MPHPI). 

JPHPI publishes articles three times per year, focusing on biochemical aspects of fisheries, biotechnology for fisheries, food processing, raw material characteristics, and aquatic product quality. Commencing with Volume 24 Number 1 (2021), each issue includes 15 articles. Beginning with Volume 26 Number 3 (2023), however, due to an increase in submissions, each issue will feature 20 articles.ticles.

JPHPI is accredited by the Ministry of Research and Technology under the Decree Number 85/M/KPT/2020. JPHPI  has been listed in EBSCO, DOAJ, Science and Technology Index (SINTA), Garuda, ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), and Google Scholar.
