The sampling technique was taken using simple random sampling technique. The measuring instruments in this research used questionnaires, scales and microtoises. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi square test. The research results showed that the majority of respondents had poor parenting patterns, had poor environmental sanitation and toddlers were underweight, there was a relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of underweight in toddlers aged 12-59 months in Alahair Village with a p-value of 0.001 and there was a relationship between environmental sanitation and the incidence of underweight in toddlers aged 12-59 months in Alahair Village with a p-value of 0.002. It is hoped that parents, especially mothers who have underweight toddlers, will pay more attention to their children's diet so that their children do not become underweight.
