Abstract

Decreased of population due to illegal hunting makes the hawksbill be a protected animal. In addition, this is allegedly due to presence of environtment parameters that are not in accordance with characteristic in hawksbill nesting habitat with the result that influencing on decreased of hawksbill population. This study purposed to assase the hawksbill nesting habitat and analyse morphology features that suspected influence nesting acativity of hawksbill in Belanda and Kayu Angin Bira island. The research was done on Augst 2017 in Belanda and kayu Angin Bira Island. Any several data was collected, that’s primary (beach slope and width) and secondary (data was collected in the past of 5 years, that’s from 2012 until 2016). The result showed width as the morphological features that influence the nesting preference of hawksbill.
