Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously in any scientific journal, that manuscripts are not being submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any media during the review process, unless the authors have officially withdrawn the manuscript.
  • Manuscripts submitted are research topics which have not conflict with bioethical research.
  • Manuscript encompass a broad range of research topics in Aquatic Science including and related to structure and dynamics of aquatic ecosystems, impacts and adaptations to pollution and global changes, socio-economical analysis of environmental benefits, impacts and bioconservation, ecosystems restoration and ecological engineering; and Fisheries Science including fisheries biology, aquaculture, environment, chemistry and biochemistry.
  • Manuscripts should be prepared following The Guidelines, Instruction for Author, and Template of Habitus Aquatica.
  • Authors agree to release to the Habitus Aquatica Journal the copyright of the manuscript.

Author Guidelines

  1. The manuscript content should be arranged as the following order: Title, Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Result and discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if any), and Reference.
  2. Titles are written in Indonesian and English, maximum 15 words, and describe contents of the text.
  3. Affiliations are as full and complete as possible and include the country.
  4. Abstract text should be summarized and maximum consists of 250 words in a single paragraph. The abstract is written in Indonesian and English, and followed by keywords.
  5. Keywords are written in Indonesian and English, and consist of four to six words or phrases arranged alphabetically.
  6. Introduction should be written about 400–600 words and contains background and aims of the research.
  7. Methods should contains at least three subsections; Time and location, Tools and materials, and Research method.
  8. Result and discussion should be separate into two subsections.
  9. Conclusion should be written briefly in a single paragraph, and answer the aims of the research.
  10. Acknowledgment if any to persons, institution, or donor who help the research study should be stated.
  11. References should be listed alphabetically and should be the last 10 year publication of an international journal.

Instruction to Authors

  1. The manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously in any scientific journal, that manuscripts are not being submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any media during the review process, unless the authors have officially withdrawn the manuscript.
  2. The manuscript that can be accepted in the Habitus Aquatica Journal are articles, short communications, and reviews that contribute to a scientific understanding in the areas of Aquatic Science and Fisheries Science.
  3. The manuscript was written in Indonesian or English and no more than fifteen pages. Manuscript in English version must be along with abstract in English and Indonesian. If you have a constraint on translating an abstract to Indonesian, please ask our Section Editor to help you to fix it. 
  4. The manuscript content should be arranged as the following order: Title, Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Result and discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if any), and Reference.
