Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS) is a biannually e-journal that provides articles on consumer and family economics issues. It publishes quantitative and qualitative research and encourages manuscripts in various types including research articles, intervention articles, and review articles. JCS published since 2016 by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Human Ecology, IPB University. JCS also collaborates with Indonesia Alumni Association (ASIKKI) and Asian Association for Consumer Interest and Marketing (AACIM).  From 2023, the time of publication of the Journal of Consumer Scieces (JCS) will be three times a year on January, July, and November.

Journal of Consumer Sciences (JCS) has been re-accredited from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) through the Decree of Directorate General of Higher Education No. 85/M/KPT/2020 and also  indexed in Science and Technology Index 3 (SINTA 3, SINTA is Indonesian Government official indexing body).  JCS also focus on the studies of consumer behavior and family economics, including the fields of, but not limited to, finance, consumer attitudes and preferences, consumer behavior and decision making, consumer empowerment, consumer protection, consumer education, family financial management, marketing, social marketing, management, bussiness, and other related topics.
