In this context, a strong psychological contract becomes an important antecedent in a company that employs Generation Y. This study seeks to analyze the effect of psychological contracts and organizational support on organizational commitment behavior (OCB) among millennial generation employees, using organizational commitment as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach using simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 176 samples. The analysis technique was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. The findings indicate that organizational support and the psychological contract have a big impact on organizational commitment and OCB. The results show that organizational commitment has a considerable impact on organizational commitment behavior. Examining the organizational commitment's mediating function, the findings indicate that it plays a full mediating function in enhancing the impacts of psychological contracts and organizational support on OCB. Practically, these findings have implications for the importance of employee engagement through organizational commitment which predicts it is more likely to increase employee perceptions of the psychological contract and encourage positive behaviors that promote OCB.

Keywords: millennial generations, organizational commitment, organizational commitment behavior (ocb), organizational support, psychological contracts
Desi Setya Ngaeni, Iwan Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/45914 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Corporate Governance on Financial Performance With Risk Management as Mediating Variable https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/53415
This study examined the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms, risk management, and financial performance of banks in Indonesia. The sample comprised 160 banking entities listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2018, chosen through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using path analysis with AMOS version 22. The findings revealed that corporate governance significantly influenced risk management in the banking industry. Effective corporate governance mechanisms positively impacted risk management practices, indicating that well-governed banks were more likely to implement robust risk management strategies. Moreover, the study found that risk management played a crucial role as an intervening variable between corporate governance and financial performance. This suggests that the influence of corporate governance on financial performance was partially mediated through its impact on risk management practices. Additionally, the results demonstrated a significant positive effect of corporate governance on the financial performance of banks in Indonesia. Well-governed banks tended to exhibit better financial performance, likely due to their ability to manage risks more effectively and make sound strategic decisions. The study highlights the importance of strong corporate governance practices in enhancing risk management and subsequently improving the financial performance of banks. These findings have implications for regulators, bank management, and investors, emphasizing the value of promoting effective corporate governance in the banking sector to achieve sustainable financial growth and stability.

Keywords: banking, corporate governance, financial performance, mediating variable, risk management
Nurna Aziza, Niken Kenanga Aviola Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/53415 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 12:57:45 +0700 Enhancing Financial Resilliance: a Study of Financial Ratios to Predict Financial Distress in Indonesian Life Insurance Firms During Covid-19 Era https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47671
The Covid-19 phenomenon and a series of insurance default events increase the risk of bankruptcy. Financial distress analysis becomes a crucial study to prevent bankruptcy. This research was conducted to present empirical evidence of the influence of premium growth ratio, liquidity ratio, risk-based capital, investment adequacy ratio, technical reserve growth ratio, and investment income ratio against financial distress prediction in life insurance companies listed on the Indonesian Insurance Directory for the years 2019-2021. The study employed a quantitative approach with logistic regression and 120 observation samples. The conclusions drawn from this research indicate that the premium growth ratio, liquidity ratio, and risk-based capital significantly have a negative impact on the prediction of financial distress, whereas the investment adequacy ratio and growth of technical reserves ratio have a positive impact. However, this research could not provide empirical evidence of the influence investment income in predicting financial distress. The results of this study contribute to insurance companies in managing their financial health by identifying risk factors based on financial ratios and taking appropriate preventive measures. Stakeholders can also enhance supervision on financial health indicators and consider establishing limits for the investment adequacy ratio to maintain stability in the insurance industry.

Keywords: bankruptcy, Covid-19, financial distress, financial health ratio, insurance
Diva Syachrani Sugandi, Evi Gantyowati Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47671 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 13:01:04 +0700 What Strategy to Develop Female Leadership to Support a Company’s Sustainability in State Owned Enterprises (SOES)? https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/48093
This paper was to explain the result of current study and use it to further explore the characteristics that need to be improved by female leaders in Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to support the company’s sustainability. The research method was quantitative-based and used an online survey on all female leaders in Indonesian SOEs. It was found that female leaders in SOEs had characteristics of Visionary and Organic Leadership, with indicators of ability to decision making, power distance between leaders and follower, key organizational players, sources of organizational commitment and responsibility and leadership situations. Using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and software WarpPLS, the study discovered that visionary female leadership had no impact on the company’s sustainability. Nevertheless, by fully mediating business competency and partially mediating of organizational competency, there was a significant impact of Female Visionary Leadership on Companies’ Sustainability. Based on the model from the current study of the influece of female leadership on corporate sustainability, this study developed a strategy for the development of women leadership by providing indicators that should be increased in women leaders. This paper proposes a resolution to these discrepancies and tests these hypotheses in a university setting. This type of research is quantitative research, which uses a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire that has been compiled I n several statements and is measured using a Likert scale of 1-5. The population used in this research is the 2020-2022 Management Study faculty of economic and business. The sampling technique used the Cochran formula which obtained 309 samples. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is run through AMOS 24 as an analysis tool. The results of the hypothesis test show that subjective norms have an effect on entrepreneurial intentions, while the entrepreneurship education variable has an effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Subjective norms affect entrepreneurial intentions mediated by self-efficacy. While very insightful, this paper is limited by the use of a within-subjects survey research design and the inherent limitations with such research. Interestingly, there are far more businesses using the marketplace than using their website. This study investigates the factors explaining behavioral intention toward online shopping on brand websites. The authors propose an integrated model where trust and attitudes mediate relative advantage, eWOM, perceived web qualities, and e-service qualities. Data collection was carried out in March 2023 through a survey that was distributed to Indonesian online shoppers and empirically tested using PLS-SEM estimation. Respondents in this study totaled 301 people who are Indonesian residents aged 18 years and over and have purchased fashion products online in the last 3 months. The present paper bridges a gap pertaining to antecedents of behavioral intention toward online shopping by using four main predictors such as relative advantage, eWOM, perceived web qualities, e-service qualities, and incorporating the mediating effect of trust and attitude toward online shopping. The result shows that perceived web quality and e-service quality have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention. Second, behavioral intention is mediated by trust and attitude towards online shopping for relative advantage and eWOM. Therefore, online entrepreneurs need to build trust in their websites by increasing relative advantage, eWOM, perceived web quality, and e-service quality so that consumers have a good perception of the brand so they have the intention to shop online.

Keywords: brand websites, eWOM, web quality, e-service quality, trust
Cicilia Cornelia Putri, Yeshika Alversia Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47706 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 13:21:42 +0700 Information Trustworthiness and Information Adoption in Social Media Marketing: Contextualization of Ewom and Its Implications For Marketers https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47313
Social media platforms have exposed consumers to a large amount of either accurate information or misleading information. The quick spread of information through electronic word-of-mouth on social media networks has made it difficult for consumers to distinguish between marketer-generated content and user-generated content. This study aims to identify the factors that influence consumers when making purchasing decisions and to establish a comprehensive framework for consumers in the digital marketing. The study aimed to investigate how technology acceptance, electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), and perceived risk affect information adoption by users in social media marketing. The study collected data from 213 social media users in Semarang via an online survey and used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings showed that information trustworthiness and information adoption were intermediaries between information quality, usefulness, perceived risk, argument quality, and information adoption. The study suggests that the quality and usefulness of the information are significant factors that affect the adoption of information. For social media marketers, providing high-quality and balancing useful information can increase consumer chances of adoption, thereby leading to purchase intention. This study aims to identify the relationship between acquisition motives and stock market performance moderated by slack resources in the acquirer companies. This study observed 65 companies in Indonesia listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that performed acquisitions in 2010 – 2020. The data were analyzed using the multiple linear regression technique. The data were analyzed using the multiple linear regression technique. The study concluded that the exploratory motive negatively affected stock market performance. Meanwhile, the moderating variable of slack resources was reported to weaken the negative effect of exploratory motive on stock market performance. This research suggests managers should make a careful decision regarding the acquisition motives that will be used by a company. In addition, they must ensure sufficient slack resources during the acquisition as the process may impact the stock market performance. Using data from 720 institutional investors from Indonesia's four largest banks (known as KBMI 4), this study aims to (1) examine the rationality of institutional investors during the pandemic by focusing on investment changes and (2) identifying variables associated with macroeconomics, financial fundamentals, and stock performance that may influence their investment decision. This study employed the Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Dunnett's Multiple Comparison Test. The analysis of the entire sample of investors revealed no statistically significant differences in the value of their investments during the observation period. Further clustered based analysis reveals that investors with high investment value (>$98,700) exhibit investment dynamics, as investment values rose from pre-pandemic levels. The conclusion is that institutional investors have a distinct rationality than individual investors and are generally less susceptible to bias. Panel data modeling: inflation rate, Loan at Risk (LAR) ratio, LAR coverage and Return on Equity (ROE) have a statistically significant impact on the stock investments made by institutional investors in KBMI 4 banks. This identifies asset quality and profitability as two crucial considerations for investors during the pandemic-induced crisis.

Keywords: behavioral finance, covid-19, determinant factors, institutional investors, stock investment
Yudha Pradipta Putra, Wita Juwita Ermawati, Gendut Suprayitno Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/49582 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 13:56:00 +0700 Igniting Employee Investment Interest: Unveiling The Impact of Investment Knowledge, Minimal Capital, Return and Risk of Investment, and Technological Advances https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/50638
The study examined how investing knowledge, minimum capital requirements, risk and returns, and technological advances affect PT Telkom Indonesia workers' investment interest. From December 2022 to April 2023, 120 workers received surveys. SEM with PLS was used to analyze the data. The findings show that of the four hypotheses, two hypotheses, namely return and risk, investment, and technological advances, were supported or accepted. However, two hypotheses, namely investment knowledge and minimal capital, did not affect investment interest. Investment knowledge and minimal capital did not significantly affect PT. Telkom employees. The evidence suggests that senior workers approaching retirement choose wealth preservation above difficult learning of complex capital market topics. The return and risk of investment and technological advances promote widespread adoption regardless of seniority. The study advised that the management should foster financial advice literacy early in junior recruits' careers. This study examines the effect of cashless payments on economic growth in Indonesia using quarterly data from 2010 to 2021. Economic growth in this study is proxied by gross domestic product, and cashless payments are proxied by transaction values from ATMs/debit cards, credit cards, and electronic money. The quantitative analysis method used in this research is time series with Error Correction Modeling (ECM). One of the benefits of ECM is that this model can be used to see the effect of economic variables in the short and long term. The study results show that cashless payments do not affect economic growth in the short term. However, in the long run, cashless payments in the form of ATM/debit and electronic money positively affect Indonesia's economic growth, even though these results have remained consistent during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that in the short term, cashless will not directly affect economic growth. This finding may be because cashless payments require time (in the long term) in the equitable availability of infrastructure development, digital ecosystems, and the process of public financial literacy, so it takes time for cashless to impact economic growth.

Keywords: ATMs/debit cards, credit cards, economic growth, electronic money, Error Correction Modeling (ECM)
Ari Christianti Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/49615 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 14:01:45 +0700 The Rise of Digital Marketing Agencies: Transforming Digital Business Trends https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/48091
In recent years, Indonesia has emerged as a powerhouse in the digital economy, aiming to become the leading force in South East Asia. Inappropriate customer segmentation can have negative impacts, such as lost marketing opportunities, resource inefficiencies, loss of potential customers, and decreased performance, and business profits, especially in customer satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to develop a customer segmentation model for digital marketing. This model is based on customer shopping patterns using the Recency-Frequency-Monetary (RFM) model and the Partitioning Around Medoids (PAM) method. The research data is historical customer purchase data consisting of 18,535 transactions and 541,909 transaction details from 4,339 customers for 3,665 product items over two years. The research variables focus on the model used: recency, frequency, and monetary. The five customer segments generating from this study are main, potential, general, minimum, and prospective customer. The internal validation results show that the minimum C-Index value is 0.1429 (close to zero), and the maximum Calinski-Harabasz Index value is 512.9553. It shows that the quality of customer segmentation results is good. In other words, the model can identify correlations between customer segments and shopping patterns and preferences. In this way, marketers can optimize services, adjust strategies, and offer the right products for each customer segment. Further research can be directed at product segmentation.

Keywords: partitioning around medoids, digital marketing, shopping pattern, recency-frequency-monetary, customer segmentation
Juhaini Alie, Rendra Gustriansyah Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/49902 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 14:25:21 +0700 Pengaruh Value Co-Creation Terhadap Keterlibatan Merek dan Niat Pembelian: Studi Kasus Menantea https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47813
Menantea is selling tea-based drinks and has managed to reach more than 200.000 followers on Instagram in the first 5 days of its opening. Business capital assistance is the assistance most needed by micro businesses. However, micro enterprises have barriers to access and use of finance. This study aims to analyze the effect of BMT resilience, financial inclusion and financial literacy on the resilience of micro-enterprises during the Covid-19 pandemic with a total of 150 micro-enterprises and 18 BMT respondents in Brebes Regency. Data processing method in the form of quantitative descriptive analysis using SEM-PLS. The results of this study show that the resilience of micro-enterprises during the Covid-19 pandemic was influenced by BMT financial inclusion and financial literacy. BMT makes it easier for micro-enterprises who are unbankable to gain access to financial institutions to obtain business capital and provide basic knowledge about basic financial management so they can survive during a crisis due to a pandemic. On the other hand, BMT as a financial institution requires efforts to remain resilient in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, among internal and external factors that have a significant effect on BMT resilience are strengthening human resources, capital, management, regulatory compliance, supervision and infrastructure.

Keywords: BMT resilience, business resilience, Covid-19 Pandemic, financial inclusion, financial literacy
Dzikrina Fikrotus Salma, Eko Ruddy Cahyadi, Budi Purwanto Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Aplikasi Bisnis dan Manajemen (JABM) https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/47470 Mon, 29 Jan 2024 14:35:19 +0700 Pengaruh Diversifikasi Pendapatan Terhadap Profitabilitas dan Stabilitas Perbankan di Indonesia https://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jabm/article/view/45536
The global economic crisis that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic causing credit contraction that negatively affected the banking industry. To overcome this problem, the government has established a special agency (sui generis) in 2021, the Indonesia Land Bank Authority. The purpose of this study is to conduct a study of the regulations and legal entities that manage the provision of land using the Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) research method. The scope of the study is limited to regulations and institutions related to land provision management, namely Perumnas, BP Batam, Land Bank Agency and Private Enterprises. The results show the limited role of the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the suboptimal role of various forms of institutions as state land managers in managing land supply, especially in relation to overlapping land acquisition functions in existing agencies. In conclusion, this research proposes a policy that the only appropriate institution as the State Land Manager is the Land Bank Agency due to its specificity (sui generis), which can flexibly carry out public and private interests in land supply management. However, in its implementation, this agency needs regulatory support to effectively become the state land manager, namely through a one-door policy for the government's land acquisition function.

Keywords: state land manager, Indonesia land bank authority, ria, public and private interest, land provision management
Himawan Arief Sugoto, M.
