There were 25 fish processing industries in the Ocean fishing port of Belawan. The need for raw material of the fish processing industry increase per year, but the need is not fulfilled by the continuity supply. The objectives of this study were to estimate the needs of raw materials for the fish processing industry, to identify the origin of raw materials for fish processing industry and estimate the availability of raw materials, to formulize strategies for the fulfillment of raw materials of the fish processing industry. The collecting data method used were observation and interview method. Then, the data analysis used was descriptive and SWOT analysis. The result showed that the needs of raw materials for fish processing industry was 85.714 ton/year. While, the fish origin in the ocean fishing port of Belawan were from fish landed inside the fishing port and outside fishing port (Aceh, Bengkulu, Padang, Batubara, and Tanjung Balai). Then, the supply estimation (operational capacity) was 54.429 tons/year. The level of need supplying of fish processing industry was 63%. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategies to supply the need of fish processing industry were developing the port facilities (cold storage) and utilization of human resources, making collaboration with related stakeholder to support the supply and price of raw material in stable condition, conducting law enforcement through individual that obstruct the raw material to industry.</p> Muhammad Reza Tri Wiji Nurani Iin Solihin Copyright (c) 2020 Muhammad Reza http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2020-11-01 2020-11-01 10 2 123 134 10.24319/jtpk.10.123-134 PENGGUNAAN ELEKTRODA TEMBAGA DAN SENG DENGAN ELEKTROLIT AIR LAUT UNTUK SUMBER ENERGI LAMPU LED-DIP http://jurnal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jtpk/article/view/30166 <p>Dual in package light emitting diode (LED-DIP) is low energy lamp used by fisherman to attract and concentrate fish. LED-DIP requires low voltage and electric current, so it can use battery as energy source. The battery alternative is seawater battery. The objectives of this study were determining the performance of seawater battery, measuring the declining rate of light intensity, counting the corrosion of seawater battery electrode after using, and measuring the shrinkage on the foam insulator after using. The method used was laboratory experiment. The voltage (V) and current (mA) measurement were conducted simultaneously through light intensity measurement for 3 times. It was conducted with 2 hours and 12 hours duration. The voltage and current, and declining rate of light intensity in 2 hours were recorded every 10 minutes, and in 12 hours were recorded every 60 minutes. The corrosion of seawater battery electrode was calculated by photo analysis, while the shrinkage of foam insulator was measured based on the initial thickness of foam and in the last research. This research was conducted at Flum Tank Laboratory, IPB. The results showed the seawater battery generated electric energy turned on the green LED-DIP lamp of 5 mm for 12 hours with low voltage as much as 2.525 V/130 mA, the declining rate of light intensity of LED-DIP was higher than the declining rate of the voltage and current. Reclamation activities also contribute to add burden on the Jakarta Bay. The purpose of this study is to explain the current condition of the waters through the distribution of water quality in North Coast Jakarta after reclamation activities. This research was conducted by to compare condition of water quality in October 2018 during after reclamation activity with previous research water quality in September 2014 before the reclamation activity in Jakarta Bay. This results showed temperature conditions is 28-31 ºC, salinity is 25,42-35 psu, acidity (pH) is 7,2-8,6, total suspended solid (TSS) is 1-216 mg/l, Dissolved Copper (Cu) is 0-0,092 mg/l, and Zinc (Zn) is 0-0,280 mg/l. While previous research at pre-recalamation showed temperature conditions is 28,9-30 ºC, salinity is 29,5-30,6 psu, acidity (pH) is 7,8-8,1, total suspended solid (TSS) is 25-68 mg/l, Dissolved Copper (Cu) is 0,001-0,005 mg/l, and Zinc (Zn) is 0,003-0,097 mg/l. There is artificial islands causes the supply of material from the land into the sea to be retained in the coastal area and reduce the current speed so that there is a decrease in the ability of flushing time and the water quality concentrated in the coastal area continuously. The aim of the study is to analyze the behavior response of turtles to green LED lights on a laboratory scale. The research used experimental laboratory by observing turtle behavior towards green light in controlled conditions. Testing was done by observing the response in the form of movements and speed of the juvenile turtle to the green LED lights. The turtle species that became the object of this observation were 11 green turtles (<em>Chelonia mydas</em>) with Curve Carapace Length (CCL) 45-50 cm carapace length. The results showed that sea turtles had visual sensitivity conditions and levels, and showed the same response to each treatment. The use of green LED lights provides an avoidance response to turtles. The archipelago fishing port Palabuhanratu has become one of the active fishing ports in the southern coastal region in Java Island and it’s one of the centers of capture fisheries in the area of West Java Province. Tuna longline is an industrial-scale fishing unit to catch tuna as an export commodity. Tuna production in PPN Palabuhanratu experienced had a significant increase from 2010 to 2014. In 2014-2018 tuna production in PPN Palabuhanratu experienced had a quite drastic decline. In 2019, production will increase to 1,091,612 tons. Landing Per Unit Effort (LPUE) is used in fisheries research to indicate the abundance of resources used to conduct stock assessments when estimating the relative abundance of an exploited species. The composition of tuna catches by longline tuna vessels consists of yellowfin tuna (<em>Thunnus albacores</em>), big eye tuna (<em>Thunnus obesus</em>), and albakor tuna (<em>Thunnus alalunga</em>). Tuna production which was landed at PPN Palabuhanratu from 2010-2019 experienced is fluctuative. In 2010 the production of yellowfin tuna was 444,952 tons, big eye tuna was 979,189 tons, albakor tuna was 122,671 tons. In 2019 the production of yellowfin tuna was 617,992 tons, big eye tuna was 240,487 tons, albakor tuna was 233,133 tons. The highest productivity occurred in yellowfin tuna in 2014 with a LPUE value of 6,09 with a production of 2,448,171 tons with a total effort of 402. The effort made by the government in maintaining the quality of fishery products is by issuing KEPMEN-KP 52A/2013 concerning in Quality Assurance and Safety Requirements for Fishery Products in the Production, Processing, and Distribution Process. Government alignments by issuing KEPMEN-KP 52A/2013 are expected to produce good, safe, and healthy fishery products. The purpose of this reseacrh is to determine the activities of catches handling and determine the suitability of handling activities in KM Bina Maju with KEPMEN KP 52A/2013. The research method is a case study. The object or location of fish handling activities in KM Bina Maju that have implemented the 3C1Q Clean, Careful, Cold, and Quick principles. The suitability of handling activities in KM Bina Maju with KEPMEN KP 52A/2013, is the availability of hatch used for storage of catches that are separate from the engine room and ABK room. It's just that the hatch is not yet equipped with a sea water cooling engine and automatic air temperature control. The suitability of the workers with KEPMEN KP 52A/2013 is a condition of ABK that is healthy, does not smoke, and not spits in the storage area. Kondisi dermaga pendaratan dan kolam pelabuhan yang tidak berfungsi secara optimal, menyebabkan diperlukannya pengembangan fasilitas pokok di PPI Cisolok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh strategi penting dalam pengembangan fasilitas dan aktivitas pendaratan ikan, yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan fasilitas pokok pelabuhan bagi pengelola PPI Cisolok yaitu; dermaga pendaratan ikan dan kolam pelabuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan Analisis SWOT. One of the indicators to assess the level of walfare is the 2015 BPS indicator. This study was purposed to determine the factors that affect the level of welfare of small fishermen in Pekalongan NFP. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Respondents were taken based on purposive sampling, the criteria of respondents is small fishermen with ship ownership below 10 GT, which got the number of respondents as much 159 people. By using multiple linear regression, the factors that affect fishermen’s welfare (Y) include: X<sub>1</sub> (income level), X<sub>2</sub> (household expenses), X<sub>3</sub> (housing condition), X<sub>4</sub> (residential facilities), X<sub>5</sub> (family health), X<sub>6</sub> (easiness to get health services), X<sub>7</sub> (easiness in getting access of children education), and X<sub>8</sub> (easiness to get transportation services). The results obtained only 4 factors that significantly affect the level of fishermen’s welfare, including residence, health of family members, easiness to enroll their children to educational institution, and easiness of getting transportation services where the relation of the influence is all positive except easiness of getting transportation services factor. The government has required fishing vessel frame insurance to the ship owner through a mandatory circular for the removal of the ship's framework and/or compensation protection. This study aims to describe the rules of ship insurance in Indonesia with a normative juridical law. Next, identify fishing vessel requirements for submission of insurance with a descriptive analysis and find out the gap in the implementation of fishing vessel frame insurance at Perum Perindo and provide recommendations for implementation with gap analysis. The results of this study, it is known that the rules regarding fishing vessel frame insurance contained in Law No. 17/2008 (Article 203), PP No. 5/2010 (Article 119), and PermenHub No. 71/2013 (Article 18). Required insurance requirements are grosse akta, surat ukur, and pas besar. The implementation gap for fishing vessel frame insurance at Perum Perindo is 40%. Oceanic Fishing Port Nizam Zachman is a tuna fishing port in Indonesia, which includes the tuna fishing industrty. The increasing role of Nizam Zachman Oceanic Fishing Port is needed by tuna stakeholders to optimize the performance and services provided by the port. The aimed of the research was to formulate the development strategy of tuna industries, which is competitive with used the role of Nizam Zachman Oceanic Fishing Port. The analysis methods that used in this research was SWOT analysis by comparing the internal factors and external factors tuna fisheries development.
